Sweat and Shoes

Today I am feeling a bit better so I decided to try and tackle my body pump class.  You may remember that last week I couldn't go because poor Lil D was sick and I had to  workout at home. That went okay but I just don't love working out at home... I always feel like I'm wimping out for some reason and so I add more weight or do more reps and inevitably end up sore and cranky. It's better for everyone if I can go workout.

Anyway, I got there super early and set up my spot.  Since I had about 30 minutes to kill I decided to run several easy miles on the treadmill.  It was nice to run at an easy pace and not feel guilty about it.  I know the easy runs are important, but sometimes it's hard to feel good about them. Especially on a treadmill where you have to watch those numbers move sloooowwwwwllllly. Maybe I should start doing my easy runs outside without a watch?

After three miles I headed to the class and I am so glad I went today! I'm still not up to my pre-break poundage, but I definitely felt stronger than a couple of weeks ago. Persistence pays off!

Lil D had a great time in her class too.  I spied her trying on various kids' shoes. And then yelling at them when they tried to take them back. That's my girl!

On another note, my big girls have to do science projects this year and we're having a hard time coming up with ideas.  Anyone got a genius experiment we can try?  Award worthy suggestions only, please.  I kid, I kid.  Seriously.

  1. I'm not sure if it is genius but it looks pretty cool:
