More Body Pump


Lil D decided it was high time she started bulking up and began her weight training today.  One pound weights are killer!

In other news, I did a tempo run at the Y today.  One mile warm-up, one mile at 8:34 pace two miles at 8:20, one more mile at 8:34 pace, one mile cool-down at 9:30 pace.  Six miles total.

Also, I'm trying to decide if I should be using the incline or not on the treadmill.  I always have because "they" say you should run with at least a 1% incline to simulate outdoor conditions.  But recently I've read that maybe it's not necessary.  Today I compromised and did a 0.5% incline.  I can't say that I could really tell a difference.  Thoughts??

  1. HAH! Your kiddo is gonna be a BEAST! I always set the treadmill to 0.5 the second I start it up. I do feel that at that "incline" you are compensating for the lack of wind resistance. I mess with the incline very little though (unless I'm stuck inside for a week) because I have no roads around here that I can practice "flat conditions" on. So treadmill is it :-)

  2. I heard when it comes to the incline on a treadmill it all depends on the type of body you are going for. If you are wanting more muscle then you want the incline. If you want lean you do not! Hope this helps ;)
