Due to the monsoon-like weather we have been having lately, my two older girls are home this morning on a two hour delay.  Until the flood waters recede, we are on our own for entertainment.

If I were a cool (or nice?) mom I would have gotten us ready to go to this place for some early morning sugar.

Instead I made them omelets (protein, baby!) and told them to clean their room.  Next I'm going to make them make their own lunches.  Nurturing Mother is my nickname.

As soon as I get them dropped off at school, Lil D and I will head to the Y for a couple of (easy) treadmill miles. Yesterday I took a body pump class and I'm a bit sore.  I used to take this class on a regular basis and was really lifting quite a bit of weight.  Yesterday, not so much.  I just keep trying to remind myself that the first few weeks back from a break are hard.  I should probably remind myself of that when I start thinking I should take time off in the first place.  Oh well, lesson learned.  Again.
